H₂O vs. H₂O₂

Two chemists walked into a bar.
The first chemist said, "I'd like some H₂O, please!" The bartender gave him water.

The Twist

The second chemist said, "I'd like some H₂O as well—not H₂O₂."

The first chemist cried. His assassination attempt had failed.

The Explanation

  • H₂O = water
  • H₂O₂ = hydrogen peroxide (toxic if ingested)
